Obituary of Nina A Rhyner

Nina A. Rhyner, 72, Sackets Harbor, died Monday morning at Hospice of Jefferson County, 1398 Gotham Street, Watertown. There will be no public services for Mrs. Rhyner. Spring burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Adams Center.  Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams. Nina was born November 12, 1941 in Brownville, daughter of Clinton and Margaret Holder Davis.  She graduated from Sackets Harbor Central School in 1959 and in 1963 graduated from SUNY Morrisville with a LPN nursing degree.  She then entered the Marine Midland Bank training program and later worked for the Cortland Memorial Hospital in Cortland, the Nathan Litteaur Hospital in Johnstown, Marine Midland Bank in Syracuse, Key Bank in Watertown, and later worked as a teacher's aide and special needs bus monitor for the Sackets Harbor Central School retiring after 32 years in 2011. She married Rolland J. Rhyner of Johnstown in 1965.  The couple lived in Syracuse, Watertown and in 1967 moved to Sackets Harbor. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Nancy A. and Timothy McGlotten, Liverpool, Robyn M. Rhyner, Sackets Harbor; a grandaughter Tamera A. McGlotten, Liverpool; a sister Elsie E. and husband Ruben Tillis, Ft. Myers. FL; and a nephew Warren Babcock, Adams Center.  She is predeceased by her parents. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK. 73128-1718.
