Obituary of Kimberly Sue Plummer

Kimberly Sue Plummer, 48, of Caird Road, Adams Center, took the final step in her life’s journey. She died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday March 5, 2016, after an eleven year battle with breast cancer. She was born on April 12, 1967 in Watertown, NY to Donald D. Dwyer and Sue A. Rudes. She graduated from South Jefferson Central School in 1985 and earned an Associate’s Degree from Herkimer Community College in 1987. She married Troy Plummer at the Highland Meadows Golf Course and Country Club in Watertown on Oct. 10, 1998. They have resided in Adams Center for the last 15 years. After a short employment with Niagara Mohawk, Kim decided to start her own Court Reporting Business. She was the court reporter for Grand Jury in Jefferson County for approximately 15 years. Most recently she subcontracted with Priority One-Veritext and traveled all over the state recording testimony for people who suffered from Mesothelioma. While she worked hard at her job, her true love was working with children. She spent many years coaching children at the YMCA in various youth soccer teams. She believed in hard work and fair play and instilled these values in her own children, encouraging them in all the sports they chose. Kim is survived by her husband Troy, two daughters Mackenzie and Madison Plumber; her father Donald (Cheryl) Dwyer, Rodman; mother Sue (Kenneth) Rudes, Adams; a brother Jeffery (Suzanne) Rudes, Coatesville, IN; a sister Kim Marie (Ronald) Orlando, Albany; her maternal grandmother Barbara Buchanan, Adams; her paternal grandmother Margaret Dwyer, Watertown; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and her two furry friends Kasie and Kallie. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday March 8th at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the Adams Village Baptist Church, with Rev. Cathy Hamilton officiating. Spring burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Adams.
