Patricia A. Cummings, 80, of Adams, died Sunday May 2, 2021 at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY. Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday at the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery, Adams, NY. Calling hours will precede the funeral beginning at 12:00 pm. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY. Born January 27, 1941 in Carthage, NY, daughter of Frederick Hardy and Mary Lawrence, she attended Carthage Schools. Following school she lived in several areas which include Oneida, Rome, Adams, Watertown and Theresa, eventually moving back to Adams in 2016 where she lived at Country View Apartments. She is survived by three daughters, Teri (John) Hepworth, Rome, Roni Mezza, Rome, Catherine Cummings, Adams; five grandchildren Jeffery, Joshua, Emily, Maria, Chloie, and plus a baby expected in the fall of this year; three great grandchildren Gracie, Bella, Scarlett; one brother Robert Hare, Del Ray Beach, FL; one sister Judy (Art) Lewis, Brownfield, ME; and several nieces and nephews. Patricia loved children and providing child care for them. She was a hard worker and working several jobs at one time in the restaurant business throughout her life to support her children. She was a volunteer at the South Jefferson Rescue Squad. Due to severe allergies, the family has requested instead of flowers to send donations in her memory to the South Jefferson Rescue Squad, PO Box 126, Adams, NY 13605.
