Obituary of Donna J. McIntosh

Donna J. McIntosh, 86, of Adams Center, died Friday, February 7, 2025, at Samaritan Summit Village, Watertown, where she had been a resident since 2022. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY. Donna was born January 16, 1939 to the late Ray and Ruth (McGraw) Stinson. She graduated from the Adams Center High School in 1957, and married Perry F. McIntosh, her high school sweetheart, in 1958. They enjoyed over 66 years of marriage together. Donna considered her family her most important priority, and devoted herself lovingly as a stay-at-home mom for many years. She also worked as a crossing guard at the Adams Center Elementary School, and later in life helped with the family apartment business. She was an avid reader and gardener, loved spending time at her summer cottage on Lake Ontario, and traveling to visit family. Donna was involved in the Adams Center Fireman’s Auxiliary as well as other local organizations. Among her survivors are her husband Perry, a son Timothy (Traci) McIntosh and a daughter Tami (Jack) Larson. Donna was blessed in life with seven grandchildren: Brianna (Dave) Chennel, Alex (Megan) Larson, Samantha (Zach) Brown, Zachary (Maggie) Larson, Michael McIntosh, Jennie (Tim) Endersby, and Thomas McIntosh. Great Grandchildren include Benjamin, Nora, and Lily Chennell, Penelope Larson, Luella Larson, and Ariya Brown; and two half-sisters, Dianne Machon and Debbie Trombley. Donna was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Reese. The family would like to thank long time caregiver Brenda Merrill and the staff at Samaritan Summit Village. There will be no public services at this time. A spring burial in the Union Cemetery, Adams Center followed by a celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a date to be determined.
