Clarence B. McConnell, 72, of Watertown died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday July 8, 2025. There are no services.

A Celebration of his Life will be on Wednesday July 16th from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm at the home of his son George, 35710 Pelo Road, Clayton, NY 13624.

Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY.

Born August 23, 1952 in Watertown, NY, he was the son of Glendon L. and Margaret R. (Allen) McConnell. He attended South Jefferson Central School before entering the US Navy in 1970 where he served in Vietnam. Following his discharge in 1972, he returned to the Adams area and worked construction and aagucultral jobs, relocating to various other areas throughout the country. His family often referred to him as a traveling gypsy.

Approximately ten years ago he returned to the Jefferson County area and worked for Star Satellite Company installing satellite dishes for residential and commercial businesses.

Clarence is survived by two sons Clarence B. McConnell Jr, TN; George D. McConnell, Clayton, NY; several grand children and great grandchildren; four brothers, Glen, William, Al, Fred McConnell; three sisters Debbie Butterfield, Doris McConnell, Cecilia Fleming; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, a brother John McConnell, and his longtime friend Curtis Mahon.

He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and especially being with his family.
