Leiana L. Thomas, 73, lifelong resident of Adams, died Sunday July 20, 2025 at Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown.

Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY.

Born October 10, 1951 in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of Alvin A. and Keitha M. (Wheeler) Thomas.  Following her graduation from South Jefferson Central School in 1968, she started working for her parents at the Tomacy’s Restaurant and Golf Club in Adams.   After her father died in 1996 and her mother in 2004, Leiana, together with her son Jeff and sister Teri, continued with the family business until January 2006 when it was sold. 

Leiana then retired from working due to her disability.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey A. (Renee) Thomas, Horseheads, NY; sister Teri L. Berger, Adams, NY; two grandsons Tyler Thomas, Austin, TX and Mathew Thomas, Stow, OH; and two nephews Patrick Berger, Nanuet, NY and Thomas (Amanda) Berger, Adams, NY and their children Connor, Tannor and Elennor.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a brother Patrick Thomas.

She entered into Samaritan Summit Village in December 2024.  The family would like to especially thank the 4th floor staff for the care and attention given to her while she was there.  

A private family graveside service will be held in the Union Cemetery, Adams Center, at a later date.  There are no calling hours.
