Claude H. Ramsey, 94 of Barnes Corners died Thursday October 23, 2025 at Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown, NY. Claude was also a resident of Country View Apartment in Adams for many years before entering Samaritan Keep Home in February 2025.

Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY.

Born June 28, 1931 in the town of Pinckney, NY, he was the son of Eben and Ola (Holman) Ramsey. He attended Copenhagen High School and worked on local farms in Copenhagen and the Burrville Cider Mill. Following his graduation in 1951, he worked at the State Office Building in Syracuse doing maintenance, retiring after 40 years.  

Claude is survived by thirteen nieces and nephews and many great and great great nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by four brothers, Harlow “Sonny”, Franklin, Clifford and Edward; one sister Sarah “Sally”.

In his retirement he enjoyed mowing lawns for people and watching wrestling (WWE). He also loved to spend time with family, make new friends and cherish all animals.  

There will be a graveside service Thursday October 30, 2025 at 3:00pm in the Barnes Corners Cemetery with Suzanne Finch, pastor of the Mannsville and Lorraine Methodist Churches officiating.
