Nancy M. Gillespie, 86, of Rodman, died Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her home.

Born October 28, 1939 in Syracuse NY, daughter of Thomas and Carmetta (Kirby) McCord, she graduated from Baldwinsville High School in 1956. Following school she worked at Nationwide Insurance in Syracuse, retiring in 1972.
She married Donald H. Gillespie of Baldwinsville in 1959 at Saint Stephen's Catholic Church in Phoenix, NY. The couple later moved to Montague where they owned and operated the Montague Inn from 1972 into the 1980’s when they sold. She was also Supervisor of the Town of Montague for many years. They later lived on Dry Hill in Watertown before moving to their present home in 2005.
Mr. Gillespie died July 18, 2021.
Surviving are two daughters Kathleen G. (David) Walker, Waxhaw, NC, Annette M. (Scott) Barron, Rodman, NY; one son, Andrew A. (Cheryl) Gillespie, Lowville, NY; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, one brother and sister in law Patrick and Joan McCord, SC; a sister Elsie Waddington, Baldwinsville; sister-in-law Judy McCord, Phoenix; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a brother Thomas McCord and brother-in-law Frank Waddington.
Nancy was a communicant of Saint Cecilia’s Church, Adams, NY
A funeral mass will be held in the Spring of 2026 at Saint Cecilia’s Church, Adams, followed by burial in the Saint Peter and Paul's Cemetery. Date and time to be announced later.
