Ann M. Williams, 87, longtime resident of Adams, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Ann was born on March 20, 1938, at her parents’ home in Pierrepont Manor, New York, to Inez and Bill McConnell. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Mannsville Manor High School in 1955. She continued her education at Syracuse University and later graduated from Keuka College in 1959.

In 1960, she married Thomas G. Williams. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community.

She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Joe) Ramus, Thomas (Patricia) Williams, Jennifer Lumley, and Melissa Williams; her son-in-law, David Roberts; her brother, Dee McConnell (Patricia); her sister-in-law, Suzanne Williams; 12 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tom (2015); her daughter Michelle Roberts (2024); her son-in-law Douglas Lumley (2009); her parents, Inez and Bill McConnell; her mother-in-law, Edythe Williams; her brother, Paul; and her sister-in-law, Veronica.

Ann had many gifts and passions. She loved gardening and took great pride in her flowers and vegetable gardens over the years. She was musically talented and served faithfully as organist and treasurer at Union Church in Pierrepont Manor for many years. She also shared her love of music at home, playing piano for family and friends.

Her faith was central to her life. Ann hosted Bible studies in her home and openly shared her love for the Lord with those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, steady determination, and deep devotion to her family and her faith.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Respite Haven, her devoted home caregivers — Sue, Bonnie, Teal, and Kathy — and Hospice of Jefferson County for their compassionate care and support.

A private family funeral will take place on Saturday, February 28 at the Union Church of Pierrepont Manor, NY.  

A Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, March 1, at the Manor House, Pierrepont Manor, NY at 1:00 pm.
