Adams Center - Elenor M. McConnell, 75, died Monday March 3, at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, after being stricken at her home. Funeral service will be 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Calling hours will precede the funeral beginning at 6:00 pm. Spring burial will be private. Born January 31, 1939 in Cape Vincent, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Maude Warren Gravelle. She married Keith E. McConnell of Adams Center on December 10, 1955. They lived all their married life in Adams Center. Mr. McConnell died December 7, 2011. For a number of years, Mrs. McConnell was a home health aide at several locations, and later she worked at the YMCA, was a bartender at the former Brick Hotel, Adams, and worked for Jefferson County. Mrs. McConnell was a beloved mother, grandmother great grandmother and sister. She is survived by four sons, Keith (Joanne) McConnell II, Adams Center, Gerald W. (Teresa) McConnell, Adams, Steven L. McConnell, Adams Center, Christopher (Patty) McConnell, Adams Center; two daughters, Penny Hatch and long time partner Gator Bond, Adams Center, Kimberly Sain and partner Donald Nier, Adams; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters, Judy (Lyndon) McConnell, Dexter, Bonnie Ives, Mich., and Karen Stowell, Mexico and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband and beloved daughter Melody M. Roe who died in 2007 The family has requested donations be made to Steven L. McConnell, PO Box 88, Adams Center, NY 13606.
