Glendon Glasier Obituary

Glendon Harold Glasier, 83, of Seneca, SC, passed away quietly Saturday February 11, 2017 after a long string of illnesses. Born July 23, 1933, Glendon was originally from Rodman, NY; a “farm boy” who graduated from Adams Center Central School before graduating with Highest Honors in Agriculture from the Agricultural and Technical Institute in Canton, NY. Upon graduating, he worked in quality control for Kraft Foods. He was honored to have served in the US Army near the DMZ during the Korean conflict as a combat medic and radio operator. Glendon was a master craftsman and built homes in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and New York. He was a charter member of the Rodman Fire Department and a Seneca Lions Club member and past president. Most importantly, Glendon loved Jesus and would share his Savior’s story with anyone willingly. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ethel LeGrow Glasier, his three daughters; Cheryl Orr (Tony), Glenda Cotton (Edwin) and Kendra Glasier; sister, Arlene Smith (Steve), granddaughters; Brittney Cotton, Lyndsey Cotton and Emilee Cotton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Harold G. Glasier and Lillian Wright Glasier, and grandson, Christopher Orr. A graveside service with military honors will be held in the spring at the Fairview Cemetery, Rodman, NY. Date and time will be announced later.
