Helen Brown Obituary

Helen M. Brown, 93, formerly of Mannsville and Henderson, died Sunday evening at the Samaritan Keep Home. Mrs. Brown had donated her body to science. There will be a gathering Sunday from 1-4 pm at the home of her son and daughter in law Christopher and Elizabeth Brown, 13340 Whitford Rd., Rodman, NY. Mrs. Brown was born May 7, 1923 in the Town of Ellisburg, daughter of Ellis and Lena Rawlings Chrisman. She was graduate of the former Union Academy, Belleville. She married Henry L. Brown February 28, 1942 in Adams Center. the couple lived in Adams Center until moving to Mannsville in 1946 where they farmed. Later moved to the Bishop St. Road in Henderson until Mr. Brown retired due to illness in 1961. Mr. Brown died November 4, 2004. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker, caregiver, enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Pinochle, knitting, reading and was an excellent cook and baker. She is survived by three sons Gary (Sandra), Citrus Springs, FL., Keith (Kathleen) Romulus, Christopher (Elizabeth) Rodman, two daughters Gail Bergman, Glendale, AZ and Karen (John) Stinson, Rodman, 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, one sister Joyce Essom, NC and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one sister Eileen Arena. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049
