Ruth Jamieson Obituary

Ruth M. Jamieson, 85, died March 22, 2017 at Samaritan Medical Center under loving care of family. There will be a graveside service in the Brookside Cemetery, Watertown in the Spring.  A private memorial service will be held. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams.  Mrs. Jamieson was born January 10, 1932 in Syracuse, NY, daughter of Albert and Clara (Bigras) Olsen.  She graduated from St. Lucy’s School in Syracuse. Following graduation she worked for various companies and retired from LeMoyne College. She married John R. Jamieson October 5, 1950 in Syracuse.  The couple lived in Syracuse, Liverpool and Adams the majority of their married life. Mr. Jamieson died October 22, 2014. Mrs. Jamieson is survived by three sons and their wives; Mark and Sandra Jamieson, Adams, Tedd and Karen Jamieson, Three Mile Bay, Joel and Nora Jamieson, Watertown; two daughters and their husbands, Joanne and Bruce Gayne, Adams, Jill and Scott Bero, Adams; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Albert, Fred, Elwin, Cliff and a sister Claire. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Donations in her memory may be made to South Jefferson Rescue Squad, PO Box 126, Adams, NY, 13605.
