Obituary of Herbert L. Parish, Sr.

Herbert L. Parish Sr., 77, of Adams passed away on June 10, 2018 at the Samaritan Medical Center surrounded my his family.

Calling hours will be held Noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams.   A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Adams Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

He was born on March 10, 1941, in Ellisburg, NY, son of Clifford Parish and Lena Burdock Parish. 

Mr. Parish is survived by his beloved  wife of 52 years Barbara (Taylor) Parish,  two sons, Herbert Parish Jr. and his husband Michael Casella, Albany, NY, Dennis Parish of Utica, NY, a daughter and son in law, Robin and Todd Slate, Evans Mills, a niece he was very close with Christina Sattazaham, his grandson, Joshua of Florida  and a granddaughter Nicholette of TN. He also has six brothers, Morris, Elmer, Lloyd, Frank, Clifford II and Harold and a sister Marjorie, many nieces, nephews, 2 great grandchildren and another on the way  

He is preceded by 2 sisters Minnie Liscomb and Barbara Benway and a brother Eli Parish Sr.

Mr Parish Worked several retail jobs before retiring from Queens Farms Dairy Plant In 1990.
He enjoyed being in his work shed fixing things up,bowling, fishing, Bingo with his wife and spending time with family.
