Obituary of Anna D. Gould

Anna D. Gould, 94, longtime resident of Lorraine, passed early Friday morning October 12, 2018 at the Samaritan Keep Home in Watertown.  There will be a 2:00 pm graveside service Tuesday Oct 16 in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown, with Rev. Nancy Russell, pastor of the Lorraine United Methodist Church officiating.  There are no calling hours.  

Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home, Inc., Adams.

Born in Lorraine, NY, daughter of Wasyl and Tatiana (Kozushko) Demidow, she graduated from Adams High School.  

She married Victor E. Gould of Lorraine on October 14, 1952 in the Adams United Methodist Church, with Rev. George Butler officiating.  The couple farmed in Lorraine all their married life.  She was employed at Pine Camp and later at General Telephone in Adams until the birth of their first daughter. 

Following the death of her husband on December 5, 1999, she continued to live on the farm until 2007 when she moved to Sandy Creek, then to Samaritan Keep Home in 2013.

She is survived by one son Maurice V. Gould, Adams; two daughters Betty A. Gould, Lorraine, and Deborah E. Gould, Lacona; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by three brothers, John, Michael and Steve Demidow, and one sister Mary Banus.  

Mrs. Gould was an outstanding cook, seamstress and gardener.  Above all, she was a wonderful mom, sweet, kind and always there when you needed her.

She was a member of the Lorraine United Methodist Church.
