Obituary of David Don Hanson

David Don Hanson, 67, of Lorraine, passed away from lung cancer Sept 13th, 2021 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown NY. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY. He was born April 2nd, 1954, in Watertown, son of Donald W. and Juanita McEwen Hanson of Lorriane, NY. He attended South Jefferson Schools then worked at Northland Electric Co. for 20 years until opting for early retirement, to then own and operate the Hanson family farm in Lorraine. He eventually retired the dairy, but continued to maintain and enjoy his farm life at his leisure. David loved cutting firewood, hunting, trail blazing, four wheeler riding, target shooting and photographing wildlife with his game cameras. He also enjoyed leading family hikes, giving wagon rides and having family dinners held at the farm. David is survived by one brother, Donny (Jody) Hanson, Lorraine and five sisters; Brenda (William) Draper, Lorraine, Doreen (Richard) Eselin, Dexter, Deborah Hanson, Alaska, Cynthia (Ethan) Stewart, Henderson, Karen (Robert) Dusek, Prattsburgh; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by both parents and a sister, Donna Hanson. A memorial gathering will be held privately for the family. Condolences may be made at www.piddockfuneralhome.com
