Kenneth D. Barrett Obituary

Kenneth D. Barrett, 79, formerly of Adams, died Tuesday October 25, 2022 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY.  At his request there are no public services.  Burial will be private and at a later time in the Woodside Cemetery, Mannsville, NY.


Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY.


Born October 17, 1943 in Adams, son of Kenneth W. and Flora (Streeter) Barrett, he attended Adams High School.  He worked with his father as a radiator repairman, later opening his own shop, Ken’s Body Shop, on Grange Avenue in Adams.  He also worked at the former Dobbin’s Auto Parts and Fuccillo’s Auto Body shops, both in Adams.  


He married Lorie Larmon. The couple lived all their married life in Adams.  Following her death in 2007, Ken moved to Watertown and later to Theresa, where he currently  lived with his companion Tracy Coon.


Surviving besides his companion Tracy, is a son Albert C. Stevens and fiancé Kim Ferguson, Carthage; three grandsons Albert John Stevens, Mannsville, Kenneth Earl Stevens, Pierrepont Manor, Matthew Brian Stevens, Mannsville; Tracy’s daughter Jasmine and her son Jackson; two sisters Bonnie Foley, Julie Frank; and several nieces and nephews.   


He is predeceased by two brothers Kipling D. and Kimberly D. Barrett.


Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing at his camp at Seeber Shores in Sandy Creek, driving his race car at Evans Mills and Can-Am Speedway, and especially spending time with his grandsons.
