Obituary of Barbara June Richardson

Barbara June Richardson, 74, of Richville, NY, and formerly of Adams, NY, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023 at her home.   She was born on October 16, 1948, in Gouverneur, NY, to the late George and June (Woodrow) Morgan.   She married Garry L. Richardson on September 25, 1970. The couple lived in Adams most of their married life before moving to Richville in 2019. Barbara was a loving wife to Garry L. Richardson of 53 years and a devoted mother to her son Gus Richardson and daughter-in-law Jennifer, as well as her daughter Bobbie Jo Schillinger and son-in-law Keith.  She adored her grandchildren Jessica Merrill, Frank Richardson, Nichole Bickford, Sarah Manning, Dakoda Manning, and Amber Manning, as well as her 10 great-grandchildren and her loving dog Sandy. She is also survived by her sisters Charlene Arquitt, Georgette Goodale along with brothers Richard Morgan, Clifford Morgan; and many nieces and nephews.   She is predeceased by her two brothers Robert Morgan, Bruce Morgan and two great grand-sons Landon Richardson and Franky Richardson. Barbara was a hard worker and had a passion for her family.  She was easy-going, kind-hearted, and never spoke a harsh word. She always saw the good in everyone with and a heart of gold, which made her loved by many.  Barbara had a fulfilling career as a machine operator.  She took pride in her work and was known for her dedication and attention to detail. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She had a love for life and cherished every moment she had with her loved ones. Barbara will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Barbara’s life.  Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Piddock Funeral Home Inc located on 7 North Park St. Adams, NY.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, 11:00 am at the Piddock Funeral Home, with Al Dowker, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Mannsville, NY. The Piddock Funeral Home in Adams, NY, is honored to assist the family during this difficult time.
