Obituary of Annette C. Sullivan

Annette C. Sullivan, 77, of Rodman, died Thursday March 21, 2024 at her home where she had been under the care of her family and Hospice of Jefferson County. A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday March 30 with Rev. Terry Alford officiating, at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, NY. Calling hours are prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm. Spring burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Rodman, NY. Annette was born August 14, 1946 in Watertown, NY, daughter of Luther W. and Florence (Bailey) Abrams. Following her graduation from Adams Center-Adams Central Class in 1964, she attended St. Lawrence State Hospital School of Nursing in Ogdensburg, NY. She began her nursing career at the House of the Good Samaritan, then went to Samaritan Keep Home when it opened in 1973. Before retiring completely from her nursing career after 37 years, she also worked for Watertown Internist for several years. While she was working full time and taking care of her family, she went to school at the State University of New York College of Technology to earn her Bachelor of Science degree. She married Barry R. Sullivan of Evans Mills on July 28, 1980. The couple have lived in the Rodman area all their married life. Surviving besides her husband Barry, is one son John A. (Melody) Schultz, NC; one daughter Stacie Sullivan (and companion Donald Nohle), Rodman; grandson Stuart Berry, three granddaughters Whitney (Bryant) Nichols, Morgan (Jordan) Quiggle, Hannah Schultz and one great grandson Gabriel Nichols. She is also survived by three brothers Robert A. Abrams, John W. (Diane) Abrams, William (Susan) Abrams; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; one son James E. Schultz; a sister in law Charolette Abrams; and a nephew Rob Abrams. She was a former member of the Adams Center Baptist Church. Annette loved collecting TY Beanie Babies and coffee mugs as souvenirs of places visited, photography, spending time at camp with her family and especially taking care of her grandchildren. The family would like to thank Sarah Marino and the rest of the girls who took special care of Annette in the days before her passing.
