Rodney L. Miller, 64, of Sackets Harbor, died unexpectedly at home Saturday morning May 4, 2024. Funeral service will be 10:30 am Friday May 10 at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, NY. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Thursday May 9 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm.
Born June 19, 1959, son of Roger and Audrey (Ryder) Miller, he graduated from South Jefferson Central School and later from Jefferson Community College where he earned an Associates degree.
He opened his own business Motorsports Limited, in Adams Center, then went to work at Lynn’s Small Engine in Chaumont, NY. After several years he returned to having his own business and opened Harbor Sport and Power in Watertown, NY.
Rodney married Carmel Colwell of Watertown on October 18, 1997. They lived in Watertown before moving to their current home in Sackets Harbor.
Surviving besides his wife Carmel, are four daughters, Skye (Lukah) Linkous NC, Courtney Podkowka NC, Paige Miller, Arlington, VA, Molly Miller, Sackets Harbor; and two grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents and sister Judy Hobbs who died in 2021.
Rodney enjoyed his children and working on all cars.
