Margaret Muriel Rogers, 85, of Adams, died at her home Thursday evening August 1, 2024 where she had been under the care of her children and Hospice of Jefferson County. Calling hours will be from noon to 2:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm on Wednesday August 7 at the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY. Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery, Adams, NY

Born February 1, 1939 in Watertown NY, daughter of Philo and Hazel (Kersey) Snyder, she attended school locally.

She married Edward H. Rogers on January 5, 1957 in Adams. The couple lived in the South Jefferson area most of their married life. Following the death of her husband on August 18, 1995, she lived in Pierrepont Manor near her daughter before moving to Country View Apartments approximately two years ago.

She is survived by two sons Edward Rogers and companion Rose LePonto: Ronald Rogers and wife Ann; daughter Debbie Scanlon and husband Leo; grandchildren Edward Rogers, Margaret Beckstead, Daniel Beckstead, Tony Rogers, Timmy Rogers, Stephen Lillie and Rachel Lillie; along with multiple other grandchildren, great grandchildren plus great great grandchildren; and a brother John Snyder.

Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a daughter Diane Jean Lillie who died October 28, 2020.

Margaret grew up in the Adams area and worked many different jobs, some of which included Bomax in Watertown, Lally’s Manufacturing In Adams, the Big M in Sandy Creek and Valehaven Home for Adults in Mannsville.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to various casinos.
