Elizabeth K. Kastner-Mulliger, 95, died at home on Tuesday December 10, 2024 in Barnes Corners, NY. Born May 3, 1929 in Watertown, NY, daughter to Wilbur and Hazel (Waite) Kling. Elizabeth had two younger brothers, twins Francis and Floyd Kling. She graduated from Sackets Harbor Central School in 1947 and moved to Rochester, NY to attend nursing school. Elizabeth and William married August 1952 in St. Anne’s Church in Rochester. They had one child, a daughter Karen, born in 1959. Around 1960-1961 they moved out of the city and to the Town of Greece. In 1962 she gave up nursing after so many heartbreaks of losing patients she loved dearly. She decided to “trade bedpans for mop pails” as she always said, to become a custodian at her beloved St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Rochester. Her husband William passed away in 1978. She remarried in 1981 to Ralph Mulliger. Ralph predeceased Elizabeth in 2000. In 2010 Elizabeth moved north to live with her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Ronald King Jr, Barnes Corners, where she lived until her passing.
