Obituary of Arnold F. Pitkin
Arnold F. Pitkin, 78, of Worth died Thursday, December 25th, in the Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. His funeral will be 11:00 am Monday at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with Douglas Austin, Pastor of the Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall, Adams, officiating. Burial is tentatively set in the Lyman Cemetery, Lorraine. Calling hours will be 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Arnold is survived by his wife Joan, a daughter Kimberly Pitkin Sterns, Worth; two grand daughters, Cassandra (Andrew) Richardson and Vanessa Sterns, a great grandson Jayden Sterns, all of Worth; a sister Florence Elliott, Lorraine; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a half brother Ray Pitkin.
He was born April 30, 1936 in Lorraine, son of Fred and Jessie Fleming Pitkin. He attended Adams High School and for several years farmed in the Lorraine/Worth area, later purchasing his own farm. He retired from farming in 1975 and went to work for General Crushed Stone, Watertown and retired from there in 1993.
He married Joan Pooler April 14, 1967 in Adams. The couple has lived in Worth all of there married lives. Mr . Pitkin is a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Adams.
