Obituary of Mary A. Hatch
WATERTOWN, N.Y. — Mary A. Hatch, 82, Route 11, Watertown, died Sunday morning, May 31, at Samaritan Medical Center. A funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Rodman. Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the funeral.
Born Oct. 7, 1932, in Theresa, the daughter of Paul and Mary Jobson Davis, she attended school in Theresa, following which she worked on local farms and later as a bartender at the Henderson Hotel.
She married Clarence Hatch Sr. of Rodman in January 1949. The couple tenant farmed locally. Mr. Hatch died in 1988.
Surviving are seven sons, William Hatch and his fiance Kathleen Kane, Watertown, Robert (Elizabeth) Hatch, Oneida, James (Patricia) Hatch, Watertown, James A. (Roseanne) Hatch, Dexter, Michael (Ann) Hatch, Watertown, Philip Hatch, Watertown, and Clarence Hatch Jr. and his companion Sheryl Murry, Massena; five daughters, Brenda (Ken) Glass, Mannsville, Barbara Ann Woodside, Watertown, Candy Byington and her companion Wayne Redden, Watertown, Bonnie (Claude) Baker, Alexandria Bay and Tina (Kirk) Sykes, Dexter; as well as many grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Nelson) Schorr, Watertown; many nieces and nephews; and longtime companion Daniel Trimm
She is predeceased by four brothers, Harley Davis, Carl Davis, Buddy Davis and Sid Davis; and four sisters, Rose Davis, Betty Vasek, Doris Burns and Norma Barden.
