Jane Kristiansen Obituary

Jane G. Kristiansen, 83, formerly of Ellisburg and Palermo, died Saturday morning, February 15 at the Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown.  A memorial service will be Friday 7:00pm at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with Rev. Paul Anderson, pastor of the Believer’s Chapel North, Mexico, officiating.  Calling hours will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm preceding the service.  Burial will be in the spring in the Palermo Cemetery. Born February 3, 1931 in Natural Bridge, daughter of Henry W. and Florence E. Clark Green, she graduated from Hudson High in 1949. She married William K. Kristiansen on October 18, 1951 in Hudson, NY.  Following their marriage the couple lived in various locations before moving to Ellisburg where they lived for many years.  In 1988 they moved to Palermo.  Mr. Kristiansen died May 16, 2009. Mrs. Kristiansen worked for various retail party plans that included Rubbermaid, Creative Circle and Party Lite, as an independent sales representative.  She moved to the Manor at Seneca Hill in Oswego in 2010 before entering the  Samaritan Keep Home in October 2013. Surviving is one son, Paul and Sheila Kristiansen, MD; three daughters, Christina and Mark Cunningham, FL, Maryann and Milton Rodewald, Schuylerville, Joy and Charles Nuffer, Rodman, thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister, Janet Campbell, LaFargeville, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one son, David Kristiansen who died in 2005, one brother, Edwin Richard Green, and one sister, Helen Green Henjum. Donations in her memory may be made to the Samaritan Keep Patients Activity Fund, 133 Pratt Street, Watertown, NY 13601.
