I taught with Betty at the South Jefferson School District in the early 80's. A true lady and diplomat. It was a pleasure to know her.

I'm so happy I had the opportunity to take a trip twice to the "North County", in which I was greeted with a great big smile by Grandma Betty each time.
Although my time in her life was short, the stories of her life shared by her family seems purely amazing.
My love, support, and prayers go out to Beth and her family during their times of need.
Always,
Mary L. Davis

I will miss Betty as I do miss all those who have also gone before that I grew up around while living in Adams till I went into the service and moved to Washington State. So many memories of people who I'll never see again. Betty was one I would always visit when in town.So the family may she rest in peace. BILL MISCZUK

Your service here is done; truly, a life well-lived. Rest in peace, Betty.
To Bob and Family-
Your mother was a blessing to many. She was a great neighbor to us for many years. The 'Macy children' have many memories of happy adventures in the playhouse that we acquired from the Whiteman household. (Remember the adults moving it across the street?)
I will always remember the kind notes Betty consistently sent to our family whenever she was aware of a need. Her warm smile, laugh and interest shown in others, made us feel welcome at the Adams Village Baptist Church every Sunday for many years.
Please accept our sincere condolences during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Whitman was my second grade teacher, and was my favorite teacher in elementary school. I have always remembered her gentle encouragement and how she made so many things special for our class. When I graduated from high school, she sent me a graduation card, with more words of encouragement. I thought that was very remarkable. She was a great lady, and I am saddened to hear of her passing. My deepest condolences to her family.
