Obituary of Ralph Lee Valley
Adams - Ralph L. Valley, 48, died Friday morning at the Rochester General Hospital, Rochester NY. Memorial service will be 8:00 pm Thursday at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams, with Rev. Thomas Hood, pastor of the Adams Center Baptist Church officiating. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 6:00 pm. Burial will be private.
Born December 4, 1965 in Watertown, son of Howard L. and Janice Downey Valley, he graduated from Belleville Central School. In October 1984 he entered the United States Army. Following his discharge in February 1986, he lived in Florida for twenty years where he worked at Walt Disney World and was a Polk County Correction Officer.
He graduated from NTTS in 2006 and started his career driving tractor trailer for various companies, retiring from NFI Industries, Baldwinsville, in December 2013 due to his health.
He married Louanne Berkey of Adams, on November 20, 2012 in Watertown. The couple lived in Adams following their marriage.
Surviving besides his wife Louanne; are his mother Janice Valley, Samaritan Keep Home, Watertown; mother in law, Virginia Berkey, Adams; one daughter Kimberly McMillian, KY; two step sons, Joshua Lillie and Michael (Sara) Lillie, both of Dexter; one brother Leo (Jennifer) Valley, Henderson; three grandchildren, two step grandchildren, Isaiah Clukey and Austin Lillie, both of Dexter; two brothers in law Brian Berkey, Adams, and Jeff (Donna) Berkey, VT, two sisters in law Audrey (Timothy) Jerome, Adams and Tina Berkey, Adams Center; several cousins, a nephew and two longtime friends from childhood which he thought the world of, Bob Maitland, Pierrepont Manor and John Nohle, Adams.
He is predeceased by his father, a sister Suzanne Valley, and brother in law Russell Berkey.
Ralph enjoyed fishing, trapping and hunting. He had a passion for landscaping and gardening which he and his wife enjoyed together.
